We often tell clients to “take a deep breath”—but what if breath itself could be the therapy? In this powerful and practical on-demand webinar, breathwork expert Jessica Dibb reveals how conscious breathing can deepen healing, strengthen attunement, and transform your clinical practice.

In this engaging and experiential 6-hour virtual course, renowned breathwork pioneer and integrative psychospiritual teacher Jessica Dibb presents a comprehensive introduction to the power of conscious breathing for therapy. Designed specifically for mental health professionals—including therapists, social workers, psychologists, counsellors, and psychotherapists—this live training offers an integrative approach to using breath as a unifying force in clinical practice.

A Somatic Bridge to Insight, Safety, and Connection

Conscious breathing for therapy serves as a powerful bridge between cognition, emotion, and somatic experience. By integrating breath awareness into session work, clinicians can deepen presence, reduce unconscious countertransference, and strengthen co-regulation. Participants will learn how cultivating breath awareness not only enhances the therapeutic alliance but also supports a co-empowerment model rooted in mutual attunement and compassion.

Jessica introduces five core categories of breath practices—ranging from calming to insight-oriented—to help clients with trauma, anxiety, emotional dysregulation, attachment wounds, and more. Practices such as cyclical sighing, breath-to-thought tracking, structured ratio breathing, and compassion-based techniques are presented in practical, adaptable ways that fit into any modality.

Key Takeaways Include:

  • How to use breath to reduce client dysregulation and enhance resilience
  • Techniques for cultivating embodied presence and co-regulation
  • The role of conscious breathing for therapy in accelerating integration and personal growth
  • Breath-based tools for therapist self-care, boundaries, and burnout prevention
  • A 7-step process for conscious breathing and transformation

Innovative and Experiential: Clinician-to-Clinician Learning

This course includes case studies, experiential demos, and clinician-to-clinician practice. You’ll explore how “receiving breathing” (rather than “taking a deep breath”) fosters bio-individuated, client-centered support and somatic wisdom. You’ll also learn to guide clients through “breathing biographies” and expanded states of consciousness, helping them access deeper insight, emotional healing, and sustained well-being.
