Tapping Therapy and Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) have gained huge popularity in the therapeutic world over the last 25 years. In fact, their rise reads somewhat like a Cinderella story. What was viewed in the mid-‘90s as totally “woo woo” is now seen more like “woo hoo!”

Emotional Freedom Techniques or Tapping Therapy is the most popular and highly researched modality in the emerging field of energy psychology (EP). While energy psychology is relatively young, as of August 2020, over 115 studies, 5 meta-analyses and 13 articles have been published on EP methods. This data is in peer-reviewed journals, including the APA’s Psychotherapy: Theory, Research, Practice, Training and Review of General Psychology. In addition, over 50 randomized controlled trials have also documented the efficacy of EP.

Join Nancy Forrester as she shares the reasons why many practitioners consider EFT (or Tapping Therapy) to be at the leading edge of a 4th wave of psychotherapy. She will also share why EFT is considered the ‘missing link’ clinicians have longed for in their professional toolkits. And she’ll relay the Cinderella story, teach you the basic Tapping Therapy algorithm, and demonstrate easy-to-learn and use self-regulation strategies.

In this webinar, you’ll also be shown emotional first aid techniques that quickly calm down intensely overactivated nervous systems. Safe and effective trauma resolution approaches that lead to natural and sustainable post-trauma growth will also be explored.

At the end of this workshop, attendees will be able to—

  • List two parts of the human subtle energy system.
  • Demonstrate the 9 point basic EFT algorithm
  • Explain 2 of the 5 Bronze standard variations presented.
  • Construct an EFT Set Up and Reminder phrases for a client’s experience of overwhelm. 5. Describe the EFT Protocol for Emotional First Aid.
  • Explain how the choosing EFT interventions from the Ladder of Intensity support the  wisdom of the body in healing and growth.
