Join Dr. Sabrina for a beginning (or continued) conversation about nourishing YOU–the woman healer and leader who strives for that delicate balance between self-care and the high demands of a life of service. Together, we will explore the unique gifts you bring to your work and the challenges you may encounter as a member of an oppressed community. We’ll also explore opportunities for preserving and caring for the most precious commodity of this work—yourself.

In this workshop, we will also examine the impact of trauma and chronic illness on our physical, emotional, and spiritual health. Our work together will include mindfulness exercises, meditation, art, movement, writing, and imagery. We will discuss the unsavoury conversations of misogyny, historical trauma, oppression, and privilege. And we’ll relish the healing powers of connection, trust, and self-compassion.

At the end of this workshop, we will leave with the sweet taste of validation of our emotional range and savour the eternally healing medicine of hope.

Through our time together, we will:

  1. Explore some of the history of women as healers.
  2. Honour the qualities that women as healers and leaders bring to the therapeutic relationship.
  3. Explore the challenges that women face in their commitment to professional healing work.
  4. Learn tools to positively impact emotional, physical, and spiritual health.
  5. Understand hope as medicine.
  6. Re-commit to a life of Divinely Feminine service!

At the conclusion of the workshop, attendees will be better able to—

  • Expand our definition of “healing”.
  • Honour the qualities that women as healers and leaders bring to the therapeutic relationship.
  • Explore the challenges that women face in their commitment to professional healing work.
  • Experience the use of heart-centred approaches in guiding clients (and ourselves) beyond the current Western models of healing.
  • Re-commit to a life of Divinely Feminine service!
