Andrea Bonior, PhD
Andrea Bonior, PhD, is a licensed clinical psychologist and Teaching Professor at Georgetown University, where she also serves as the Director of The Connection Project: Hoyas Connected, a program to increase belongingness and community within undergraduates.
Dr. Bonior previously served on the adjunct faculty at Georgetown for 16 years. In 2020, she won the national Excellence in Teaching award, given by the Society for the Teaching of Psychology, a division of the American Psychological Association. Dr. Bonior is also the best-selling author of Detox Your Thoughts, and built the mental health brand “Baggage Check” at The Washington Post, where she maintained a weekly column for 15 years and spun it into an indie podcast.
Dr. Andrea Bonior appears regularly in national media, including contributing frequently to CNN’s The Lead with Jake Tapper, has created several popular courses on work-life balance and cognitive skills for LinkedIn Learning, and is a sought-after speaker on emotional wellness, workplace stress and mental health.
