Kathy Steele, MN, CS, APRN

Kathy Steele, MN, CS, APRN, is Clinical Director of Metropolitan Counseling Services, a psychotherapy and training center, and is in private practice in Atlanta, Georgia. She is a respected clinician and presents internationally on trauma and dissociation.

Kathy is past President of the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation and has received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation. She has authored and co-authored numerous book chapters, journal articles, and two award winning books on trauma and dissociation: The Haunted Self: Structural Dissociation and the Treatment of Chronic Traumatization and Coping with Trauma Related Dissociation Skills Training for Patients and Therapists.

Kathy Steele is known for her humour, compassion, respect, and depth of knowledge as both a clinician and teacher, and for her capacity to present complex issues in easily understood and clear ways.
