Dr Melissa Westendorf, J.D./Ph.D. is a licensed clinical and forensic psychologist and attorney. She specializes in assessments that include a technology or internet component contributing to criminal behaviour. In 2013, she created the Technology Wellness Center as a forum to share with parents, children and providers her understanding of technology addiction. She has co-authored two books, Unplug Raising Kids in a Technology Addicted World (2015) and Digital Distress. Growing Up Online (in press, 2021) related to this topic. She has served on the Wisconsin Psychological Association and the American Psychological Association and was a board member of the Wisconsin Psychology Examining Board.
