Pat Ogden, PhD

Pat Ogden, Ph.D. is a pioneer in somatic psychology and the founder of the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute, an internationally recognized school specializing in somatic–cognitive approaches for the treatment of PTSD and attachment failure. She is a clinician, consultant, international lecturer and trainer.   Dr. Ogden is the first author of two groundbreaking books, with a third, The Pocket Guide to Sensorimotor Psychotherapy in Context, in press. Her current interests include racialized trauma, systemic oppression, and diversity, children, couple therapy, challenging clients and the relational nature of shame.
