Step into the forefront of psychological intervention with Dr. Kate Truitt’s new online course on harnessing neuroplasticity for healing traumatic stress.
The Origins of Traumatic Stress
In this course, you’ll explore the deeply ingrained beliefs, maladaptive cognitions, and traumatic encodings that intricately shape our emotional landscape. These neural encodings are primarily located within the brain’s amygdala—the epicenter of emotional processing. They exert profound influence over individuals struggling with anxiety, trauma, and depression, yet remain a formidable challenge to effectively address.
The Connection Between Neuroscience and Healing
We then examine the profound power of neuroscience as Dr. Kate unveils strategies for healing traumatic stress and building resilience. Engage with neuroplastic tools like self-havening touch and witness the remarkable impact they have on conditions like PTSD, anxiety, and depression2,4,5,6,7.
By masterfully synthesizing research-backed insights, Dr. Kate illuminates the path toward not just rapid healing but also sustainable personal growth. This path serves as a roadmap, allowing you to skillfully navigate the complexities of trauma-informed practice with precision and finesse.
Strategies for Healing Traumatic Stress
And this course isn’t merely about understanding the intricacies of the mind—it’s about catalyzing action and effecting tangible change. You’ll gain access to a comprehensive toolkit for healing traumatic stress. This toolkit is meticulously crafted to enable you to:
- Identify opportunities for amygdala depotentiation (also known as “Havening Techniques”). This psychosensory therapy is designed to de-traumatize the memory and remove its negative effects from the psyche and body.
- Implement effective strategies to enhance an individual’s resilience and personal development using neuroplastic engagement (rewiring of the brain).
In a world grappling with a pervasive mental health crisis, evidence-based interventions for healing traumatic stress aren’t just desirable—they’re indispensable1,3. As stress levels soar and traditional therapeutic modalities encounter systemic limitations, neuroscientist-informed psychotherapy presents a compelling opportunity to redefine healing and elevate the standard of care for generations to come.
- Prepare clients to begin utilizing self-havening to enhance brain health and emotional wellness.
- Assess clients to determine the appropriateness of integrating the self-havening touch into clinical treatment sessions.
- Demonstrate understanding of the impact of trauma encodings on information processing.
- Determine steps for safely transitioning in-session from traditional psychotherapy approaches into the SNAP protocol.
- Build self-efficacy through the foundational, resilience-focused Healing in Your Hands protocols both while in the therapy session and while doing self-care and autonomic nervous regulation outside of the therapy session.
